Our Story
At Rooted Realm Architects, we believe in the impact that meaningful design has on one's life. As we embarked on this new venture, we noted a few keywords that encapsulated our firm's ideal focus and ethos. We wanted a name that would resonate with our vision for designing spaces that blend modern lifestyles with cherished memories.

The word “Rooted” was of immense significance to us. We wanted to create spaces that resonate with the user's rooted memories. Our design explores ways to conceptualize the users' rooted memories and ideologies. This way the design generated is a “realm” that is exceptionally crafted for them and is true to their personal heritage. The words “rooted” and “realm” justified our vision, which compelled us to name our design practice “Rooted Realm Architects”.
Our Vision
In this modern world of AI, automation, and modularity, we want to focus on designing well-crafted, detail-oriented, and personalized spaces. The design goal is to interrelate the contemporary lifestyle and the "Rooted memories or ideologies" of the client or an organization. This approach will give rise to a design that is a blend of the modern-day lifestyle connecting back with their roots from the past.

Rooted memories of a client may be little things like 'A Paarijata tree from his backyard ‘, ‘A temple street’, or ‘A cozy corner in his native home’. These little things would be a strong connection one shares with their roots and, we would love to identify and embrace such bonds. And, in terms of organizations, every organization has a rooted ideology they abide by, like ‘A school’s vision is to emphasize outdoor learning too’, a restaurant chain's vision is to be ‘timeless’, and so on. When these root ideas are encapsulated, the design generated will be a realm of innovative space, in terms of its essence and feel.
About Founder
Ramya R Joshi, an architect who graduated from CMR School of Architecture in 2020, has a deep passion for human-scale architecture and interior spaces and a keen eye for detail. After gaining valuable experience at a renowned firm in Bangalore for two years, where she worked on various residential and institutional projects, she collaborated with fellow architects on diverse projects. These experiences have fueled her confidence to embark on the exciting journey of establishing Rooted Realm Architects.
